VEGEA is a vegan coated fabric.

The name VEGEA comes from the combination of VEG (Vegan) and GEA (Mother Earth). It was choosen to identify next generation of alternative materials to totally oil-based and animal-derived ones.

They valorize agro-industry biomass and residues as high-value feedstocks, and transform them into new materials for fashion, furniture, packaging, automotive & transportation.

In collaboration with italian wineries, they have developed a process for the valorization of wine residue that is composed of grape skins, stalks and seeds discarded during wine production.

No toxic solvents, heavy metals and dangerous substances for humans and the environment are involved in the production process.
