CompPair aims to accelerate the transition to a circular economy with a product enabling ultra- fast repair. This carbon composite returns to its original as-new condition after heating during a minute. Months of research went into extending the lifecycle of our watches, and that included addressing the risk of scratches while wearing. Together with ID Genève, CompPair has taken its technology one step further by combining it with recycled fibers to reintroduce valuable recovered fibers on the market bringing a lower usage of natural resources and energy.

Pioneers of sustainability in different sectors, the two Swiss-based companies have joined to share their values in terms of innovation and circularity. The timepiece embraces the power of collaboration in the Swiss innovative ecosystem with sustainable materials expertise on one hand and watchmaking mastery on the others.

ID is here a platform, a vitrine for the climate heroes transforming the industries and offering a unique solution. Design-wise, the irregular arrangement of recycled fibers in the mold gives a granular appearance. The design breaks away from the linear mode of carbon consumption to date. About the dial: the aim was to express the hours and minutes in an organic way, in reference to molecules in motion, to a complex structure of the infinitely small. To echo the upcycled materials that are brought back to life after use.
